Our Flyer: What Hockey Gear Cost, 2016 to 2018
The old SC Sports ran a flyer page with its current skate and gear deals. Put side by side, the flyers are a good record of what each level of hockey gear cost in Canada in the late 2010s, and of how far a previous-year model dropped in price.
Figures are list (MSRP) and sale prices as published at the time. They show how prices step between entry, mid and top models; they are not current prices.

The shop also ran a trade-in: bring in used gear for a guaranteed trade-in value against new equipment. By late 2019 the flyer page had been replaced with a single line: the inventory is constantly changing, with baseball, softball, hockey and lacrosse gear in both stores.
